Dhaka, Oct. 25 -- National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer (Southern Region) Hasnat Abdullah today said the party is ready to assist in ensuring an impartial and acceptable national election, but warned that the ongoing practice of partisan control over administration and state institutions must end first.

"The democracy that Sheikh Hasina had plundered - we are prepared to help the nation regain it through a neutral and acceptable election. But the existing culture of political power-sharing and administrative division among parties must stop," he said.
