Dhaka, Aug. 15 -- The Election Commission (EC) will announce the roadmap for the upcoming national parliamentary elections next week, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said on Thursday.
"The roadmap will include all preparations and detailed guidelines for the polls," he told the reporters during a briefing at the Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon.
"We have discussed the commission's roadmap. Hopefully, we will be able to release our election roadmap next week, which will give you [journalists] an idea about our preparations," Akhtar added.
He also said the commission will hold a meeting with journalists to provide them with a clear understanding of its election preparations.
