Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- The National Council of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, held at the Engineering Institution Auditorium in Dhaka on Saturday, concluded with significant leadership appointments and a firm stance on pressing national issues.
Shaikhul Hadis Kazi Muhammad Muin Uddin Ashrafi was elected Chairman, while Dr. Abdullah Al Maruf Shah was appointed Secretary General of the council, says a press release.
Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat leaders emphasised that the true path and opinion of Islam is represented by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.
