Bangladesh, June 11 -- In a case filed on charges of adultery and fraud, cricketer Nasir Hossain and his wife Tamima Sultana Tammi have been acquitted by the court. The verdict was delivered on Wednesday by Dhaka's Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Joshita Islam. Bench Assistant Ashutosh Bhowmik of the concerned court confirmed the matter.

Reacting after the verdict, plaintiff Rakib said that based on what the judge was saying at the time of the announcement, it seemed like it was pre-planned. He delivered the ruling after saying just two or three things. There were various pieces of evidence and 10 witnesses in the case, none of which he read out. I am not satisfied with this verdict.
