Bangladesh, Sept. 24 -- Commerce Minister Khandakar Abdul Muktadir on Wednesday called for an integrated action plan involving all trade-related agencies to simplify export-import cargo clearance procedures, upgrade logistics infrastructure, and lower overall trade costs.

"The government is working to enhance the capacity of relevant agencies and simplify trade procedures to reduce the time and cost involved in clearing cargo," the minister said while presiding over the 10th meeting of the National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) at the Ministry of Commerce.

The commerce minister said effective coordination among all stakeholders is essential to ensure that the benefits of these initiatives reach businesses.
