Bangladesh, April 16 -- Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni on Wednesday urged Members of Parliament (MPs) to refrain from using mobile phones and taking photographs inside the House, citing disruptions to parliamentary proceedings.

The request followed concerns raised by Kayser Kamal, who was presiding over the sitting, regarding disturbances caused by phone conversations within the chamber.

The issue came to light as Hamidur Rahman was called to participate in the discussion on the President's address, after remarks by Abdul Mannan.

The Deputy Speaker observed that noise from mobile phone use was audible across the chamber, disrupting both speakers and those in attendance.
