Bangladesh, March 14 -- A mobile court conducted by the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) fined a bakery in Rajshahi for producing and selling food items without proper certification and in an unhygienic environment.

The mobile court, organised by the BSTI Rajshahi Divisional Office, was carried out in Rajshahi city around 12:30 pm on Thursday.

During the drive, Messrs National Bakery, located in the BSCIC Industrial Area of the city, was fined Tk 10,000 for producing and marketing biscuits, bread and cakes without obtaining the mandatory BSTI quality certification. The establishment was also found using the BSTI standard mark illegally on product packaging while operating in an unhealthy environment.
