Bangladesh, Aug. 29 -- A lawyer has sent a legal notice to the government demanding a ban on the production and broadcasting of movies and dramas based solely on love and romance.

The lawyer has demanded that the production and broadcasting of such dramas and movies should be stopped in order to prevent moral degradation of the youth, maintain social order and develop creative talent.

Not only that, the Cabinet Secretary, Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Secretary of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Chairman of the Bangladesh Film Censor Board have been asked to respond to this notice within the next 10 days.

The notice was sent by Supreme Court lawyer Mahmudul Hasan Mamun on Thursday.
