Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- Thousands of leaders and activists of Gabtali Poura unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) have started carrying out massive mass campaign in favor of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia in the district through distributing leaflets seeking votes for 'Sheaf of Paddy', symbol of the party, in the ensuing next general election.

Earlier on yesterday, BNP announced possible candidates for 237 out of 300 parliamentary constituencies ahead of the upcoming national polls, with Khaleda Zia, the former Prime Minister of the country, nominated for three seats.
