Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is set to send a Mutual Legal Request (MLR) to the United States to obtain details of two properties allegedly owned by Sajeeb Wazed Joy, the son of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former ICT Adviser.

An ACC source confirmed on Monday that the watchdog has received information indicating that Joy owns two houses in Virginia which were not disclosed in his tax returns.

According to the ACC, the properties are located at 10441 Parker House Drive in Great Falls and 3847 Belmona Court in Falls Church. The two houses were reportedly purchased on 24 June 2024 and 5 May 2014 respectively, with a combined value of Tk 53 crore.
