Dhaka, Aug. 13 -- A Juba League leader was killed after being dragged from his home and having his throat slit in Daulatdihi village of Kashimpur Union, Jashore, around midnight on Tuesday (August 12).

The victim, Rezaul Islam, was the son of Golam Tarafdar from the same village. According to police and local sources, a group of assailants stormed his house, forcibly took him outside, and attacked him near his residence before fleeing.

Police rushed to the scene upon receiving information, recovered the body, and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue. Locals said Rezaul was active in Juba League politics, though his official position was unclear. Several cases were reportedly filed against him in the past.
