Dhaka, Aug. 9 -- Jamaat-e-Islami central working committee member and Dhaka South city secretary Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud has described the upcoming national election as a "battle of the ballot," urging party activists to treat it as a decisive struggle for the future of the country.

Speaking as the chief guest at a gathering of female leaders and activists at Kalaiya Union Parishad auditorium in Bauphal on Friday noon, Dr. Masud framed the electoral contest not merely as a democratic exercise, but as a fundamental political and ideological struggle.
