Dhaka, Oct. 27 -- On Saturday, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam announced the names of candidates to participate in the local government elections including Parshuram Upazila Parishad in Feni.
According to party sources, Advocate Emdad Hossain has been declared as the candidate for the post of Upazila Chairman, Maulana Abdul Halim as the Chairman of Chithlia Union Parishad, and Professor Nazrul Islam as the Chairman of Box Mahmud Union Parishad.
In addition, Ameer Md. Mostafa of Parshuram Municipality Jamaat-e-Islami will contest for the post of councilor in Ward No. 8 of Parshuram Municipality.
However, no candidate has been officially announced by Jamaat-e-Islam for the post of Parshuram Municipality Mayor so far.
