Dhaka, July 8 -- A Narayanganj Court has granted a two day remand for former mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy in connection with the murder case of rickshaw puller Tuhin in Siddhirganj. On Monday, Senior Judicial Magistrate Mainuddin Kader issued the remand order. Ivy was connected to the court virtually from Kashimpur Jail during the hearing.
Inspector Md. Kaiyum Khan of the Narayanganj Court Police confirmed the matter. He stated that on July 20 last year, during an anti-discrimination protest on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in the Shimrail area of Siddhirganj, Tuhin (36), a rickshaw puller, was shot dead.
