Bangladesh, May 21 -- Former private industry affairs adviser to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Salman F Rahman, expressed discomfort over the intense heat while being brought to court in a prison van for a hearing in Dhaka this morning (21 May).

Salman was accompanied by former law minister Anisul Huq and former MP of Dhaka-13 Sadek Khan.

Today around 9:30am, they were brought from Keraniganj Central Jail to the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Court in a prison van.

Salman was the first to be taken out of the prison van, where on-duty police officers made him wear a bulletproof vest, helmet and handcuffs before escorting him forward.

Expressing discomfort, he said, "I will die in this heat. It is very hot, extremely hot."
