A human chain was held to protest the suicide of Jahanara, a housewife from Uthuli village of Mathurapur union in Chatmohar upazila of Pabna, being taken to another category and the filing of a case of murder and abetment to suicide in the name of innocent people.
Yesterday, Wednesday Uthuli villagers organized this human chain in the Kathbadam Tala area of Chatmohar bypass road.
During the human chain, former member of Mathurapur union Mirajul Haque said, "My brother's wife Jahanara Khatun committed suicide by hanging herself on June 5. On the same day, the police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
