Dhaka, Oct. 19 -- Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid on Saturday said that killing of Hefazat workers at Shapla Chhatttar on May 5 in 2013 laid the foundation of July revolution.
"The blood of the martyred will not erase from the history," he said this while giving financial donation to the families of the 77 Hefazat workers who were killed during Awami League regime.
Out of them 58 Hefazat workers were killed at Shapla Chattar in 2013 and 19 others embraced martyrdom during anti-Modi movement in 2021.
Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhyuian attended the function as the chief guest at Osmani Memorial Hall while Secretary of the Local Government Ministry Rezaul Maksud Zahidi was in the chair, reports BSS.
