Dhaka, Oct. 15 -- Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, October 15, 2025, Bangladesh will begin a pilot project for an online bail bond system aimed at streamlining the release process for detainees. Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul announced this initiative during the inauguration of the Attorney General's Office Internship Programme at the Supreme Court Auditorium.

Currently, after a court grants bail, an individual must navigate through up to 12 procedural steps before release, often involving financial transactions and facing potential harassment.
