Bangladesh, Nov. 2 -- The present and future of 224 young students of the traditional Sabokhali Secondary School in Chitalmari upazila under Bagerhat district seem to be hanging in the balance today because of the capricious nature of the sun or rain is a cruel uncertainty for them.

Instead of having a roof over their heads and dreaming with books and notebooks, they spend a large part of their day under the shade of a tree or under the open sky.

This school, established in 1967, has been a beacon of light in the area for a long time, but today it is suffering from extreme neglect and crisis. Although the number of students in the school has exceeded two hundred, the number of classrooms has not increased in proportion.
