Bangladesh, July 11 -- Convener of the National Citizen Party (NCP) and Chief Whip of the Opposition Nahid Islam said that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina should return to Bangladesh only for the execution of the death sentence handed down against her.Islam

He made the remarks on Friday while addressing a discussion and award ceremony organised by the National SME Association to mark International Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSME) Day at the Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh, in Kakrail.

Speaking as the Chief Guest, Nahid referred to a recent interview in which, he claimed, plans were mentioned for Sheikh Hasina to return to Bangladesh in December.
