Dhaka, Oct. 6 -- Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that fascist allies were behind the conspiracies to disrupt communal harmony by spreading allegations of rape to destabilize the Chittagong Hill Tracts and by adding a beard to the demon's face in Durga Puja pandals.

He made the remarks while briefing journalists on Sunday afternoon after a meeting of the Core Committee on Law and Order held at the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Secretariat.
