Bangladesh, Nov. 3 -- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has launched a registration process for battery-powered, low-speed three-wheeled rickshaws, aiming to bring their movement under control, reduce traffic congestion and improve road safety.

Application forms will be distributed from November 3 at Tk 100 each. Applicants can collect the forms from Nagar Bhaban and all regional offices of the city corporation.

The registration process is being conducted under the 'Rules for the Movement of Three-Wheeled Low-Speed Battery-Powered Rickshaws (E-Rickshaws) in City Corporation Areas, 2026', recently issued by the Local Government Division.
