Dhaka, Aug. 21 -- The holy Akheri Chahar Shamba, an important day for Muslims, was observed on Wednesday across the country on the occasion of the recovery of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad (SM) from his prolonged illness.

To mark the day, the Islamic Foundation organised a discussion and doa mahfil after Johr prayers at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, reports BSS.

Islamic Foundation Director General and Senior District and Sessions Judge Abdus Salam Khan attended the function as the chief guest.

Dr Mufti Maulana Kamrul Hasan Shahin, Khatib of Nurani Jame Mosque, attended the function as discussant, while Islamic Foundation Director of Dini Dawat and Cultural Department Dr Mohammad Harunur Rashid presided over it.
