Bangladesh, April 20 -- India's reported decision to appoint veteran politician Dinesh Trivedi as its next High Commissioner to Bangladesh comes at a sensitive moment in bilateral relations, as both countries attempt to stabilise ties while navigating a series of unresolved and politically charged issues.
Although there has been no formal confirmation from the Ministry of External Affairs, the move - if finalized - would mark a notable departure from convention, signalling New Delhi's intent to inject political weight into its diplomacy with Dhaka.
