Dhaka, Oct. 25 -- The Interim Government has strongly condemned the Israeli Knesset's recent approval of draft laws seeking to impose what it called "Israeli sovereignty" over the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank.

In a statement issued on Saturday, Foreign Ministry said Israel's actions represent a continuation of its unlawful occupation through the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank, in clear violation of international law, the UN Charter, and relevant UN Security Council resolutions, particularly Resolution 2334. Reaffirming its position, Bangladesh stated that Israel has no sovereignty over any part of the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.
