Bangladesh, July 23 -- Bangladesh and Russia on Wednesday reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations, with a particular focus on expanding cooperation in the energy sector.
During a high level meeting held on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Manila, the Philippines, both Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov talked on the issue, according to a Foreign Ministry.
Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir accompanied the Bangladesh Foreign Minister.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers reviewed the existing state of Bangladesh Russia relations, with special emphasis on ongoing cooperation in the energy sector.
