Dhaka, Aug. 15 -- The proposed Dhaka Central University (DCU) has officially taken over the full administrative, academic, and financial responsibilities of seven government colleges, along with all relevant applicant data-including photographs and admission fees-for the 2024-25 academic session.
The handover took place on Thursday at a formal ceremony in the vice-chancellor's conference room of Dhaka University. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niyaz Ahmad Khan handed over the responsibilities and related documents to Professor AKM Ilias, interim administrator of the proposed DCU.
This event marks the completion of the respectful separation of the seven colleges from Dhaka University, ending a long-standing affiliation.
