Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- To maintain uninterrupted trade and cargo operations after the massive fire at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport's cargo village, the Dhaka Customs House will remain open 24 hours a day on Friday and Saturday.
An office order issued today instructed all officials to stay on duty as customs activities will continue nonstop to clear backlogged consignments and assist affected traders.
Earlier on Tuesday, the customs authorities introduced a 24-hour duty roster, assigning shifts among deputy commissioners, assistant commissioners, and revenue officers under the supervision of joint commissioners.
