Dhaka, Nov. 4 -- The National Values Protection Council (Jatiyo Mulyabodh Sangrakshan Parishad) has expressed gratitude to the government for cancelling its earlier decision to appoint music teachers in government primary schools, calling the move a reflection of the sentiments and expectations of the general public.
In a joint statement issued on Monday (3 November), the council thanked the authorities for reconsidering what it described as a "hasty and unjustified" decision.
The statement was confirmed by Maulana Muhammad Mamunul Haque, Ameer of Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish, who published it on his verified Facebook page.
