China-Myanmar economic corridor only for nat'l interest: Humayun
Bangladesh, July 5 -- Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humayun Kabir said on Saturday that Bangladesh will woo China's proposed economic corridor with Myanmar for sake of the country's national interest.
"The Chinese president proposed the economic corridor during Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent visit to China.
We have taken the proposal positively and are examining how the corridor could be developed through Cox's Bazar, Myanmar and China," the adviser told reporters after inaugurating a three-day South Asian Academy for International Leadership (SAAIL) programme at a hotel in Cox's Bazar.
