Dhaka, Sept. 3 -- Chittagong University (CU) authorities on Tuesday filed a case against 1,095 individuals, including members of the banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), over clashes between students and villagers that left at least 240 people injured on August 31.
The case was lodged by Abdur Rahim, CU's Deputy Registrar (Security), with Hathazari Police Station, naming 95 individuals directly, said the station's officer-in-charge (OC) Abu Mohammed Kawsar Hossain.
In addition to the named accused, between 800 and 1,000 unidentified individuals have also been charged, the OC confirmed.
