Dhaka, Sept. 16 -- Following the favorable climate and advanced starting of the rainy season, less salinity in the water within the paddy fieldsto a satisfactory stage and consequently, a bumper Aush paddy was produced in Bagerhat district, according to reports received from the different places.
This year the target of paddy production was fixed by the Bagerhat district Agriculture production at 11.46 thousand metric tons from some 3,973 hearts of lands.
So far Aush paddy was already harvested from 32 per cent of the total lands (11.499 hectares) fixed earlier by the concerned authorities and some 3,675,95 metric tons of rice were already produced from the same.
