Dhaka, Dec. 27 -- Police of Ishwardi Police Station in Pabna have recovered a double-barrel gun and six rounds of ammunition used in the murder of Biru Mollah, convener of the Lakshmikunda Union BNP in Ishwardi. The firearms and ammunition were recovered during a raid conducted on Wednesday night in Kamalpur village of Lakshmikunda Union.
Confirming the recovery, Additional Superintendent of Police (Ishwardi Circle) Pranab Kumar said that the recovered double-barrel gun was the weapon used to shoot and kill BNP leader Biru Mollah. While fleeing after the murder, the prime accused Jahurul Mollah left the firearm and ammunition in an abandoned tin shed at Abdul Karim's house in Kamalpur village.
