Dhaka, Dec. 18 -- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has formed a high-level reception committee to organise a formal welcome for its Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, who is scheduled to return to Dhaka on December 25 after nearly 18 years.

BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has been named convener of the committee, while Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi will serve as its member secretary.

Confirming the decision, BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan said party leaders, activists, supporters and members of the public are eagerly awaiting Tarique Rahman's return.
