Dhaka, June 12 -- A local activist of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was hacked to death allegedly by Awami League members over a longstanding feud at Sharsha upazila in Jashore district.
The incident took place on Tuesday night at Durgapur village under Lakshmanpur Union of the upazila.
The victim has been identified as Md Liton, son of Azgor Ali from that area.According to locals, Liton was a known BNP supporter and had long-standing political and personal disputes with several local Awami League activists.
