Dhaka, Oct. 13 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has seized various types of smuggled goods and contraband drugs worth over Taka 171.60 crore from different parts of the country, including border areas, said a BGB press release.

The seized contraband includes - 6.356 kg of gold, 1.650 kg of silver, 9,248 saris, 13,558 three-piece/shirt-piece/chadar/blankets, 11,461 ready-made garments, 1,286 meters of than cloth, 3,91,793 cosmetics, 2,952 pieces of imitation jewellery, 13,61,276 fireworks, 4,202 cubic feet of wood, 2,035 kg of tea leaves, 11,377 kg of betel nut, 81,780 kg of coal, 735 cubic feet of stone, 4,630 cubic feet of sand, 6,349 kg of yarn/curtain/door net, 379 mobile phones, 3,443 mobile displays, 35,062 spectacles, 17,269 pieces...
