Bangladesh, Oct. 21 -- The government has taken the initiative to organise a conference for Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) for the first time, with the event tentatively scheduled for December.
Meanwhile, the annual Deputy Commissioners' (DCs) Conference is expected to be held from January 31 to February 3 next year.
According to sources at the Prime Minister's Office, the exact date for the UNO conference has not yet been finalised.
However, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has agreed to attend the inaugural ceremony of the DC conference.
He is scheduled to inaugurate the event on January 31 at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka.
The prime minister is also expected to inaugurate the UNO conference once its date is finalised.
