Dhaka, Oct. 17 -- Bangladesh and Pakistan have agreed to strengthen collaboration in the labour and employment sector, emphasizing joint efforts to tackle challenges related to overseas employment, skills development, and worker welfare.
The agreement came during a bilateral meeting between Bangladesh's Labour and Employment Adviser M Sakhawat Hossain and Pakistan's Labour Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar, held on the sidelines of the Sixth OIC Labour Ministers' Conference in Doha, according to a press release issued on Thursday.
Adviser Sakhawat Hossain called for coordinated measures to address issues faced by migrant workers and urged enhanced connectivity between the two countries to boost trade, tourism, and cultural exchange.
