Bangladesh, March 4 -- Severe frustration and dissatisfaction have arisen among the general public regarding services at the Kamalganj Upazila Social Services Office in Moulvibazar. Many beneficiaries have complained that despite waiting for years, they have received no assistance for widow allowances.
According to local sources, many destitute women in the upazila applied for widow allowances four years ago, but to date, they have not received this government benefit. When the beneficiaries repeatedly contact the social services office, the officials reportedly tell them "no allocation available", leaving the truly needy excluded from this humanitarian program.
