Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- British actor Terence Stamp, known for his role as Superman, has died. He died at the age of 87 on August 17. The actor's family confirmed the news, but the cause of death has not been revealed.
The actor, who achieved global stardom, was best known for his role as the villainous General Zod in the films 'Superman' and 'Superman 2.' Terence Stamp played the iconic role of General Zod in the 1978 and 1980 sequels alongside Superman actor Christopher Reeve.
