Bangladesh, June 14 -- 7,629 crore 54 lakh taka was allocated for 18 projects for urban development in the proposed budget for the new fiscal year (2026-2027).
Out of this, Tk 1,71 crore 93 lakh was allocated for three projects of CDA and Water Development Board to alleviate waterlogging. Although there is a project of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) to alleviate waterlogging, no allocation has been made there.
This information was revealed by analyzing the budget for the 2026-2027 fiscal year announced last Thursday. The size of this year's budget is Tk 9,38,000 crore.
