Bangladesh, Aug. 25 -- Six shops were completely gutted in a devastating fire at Paujan Bazar in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Sunday night. The blaze caused an estimated loss of around Tk 1.65 million.

The fire broke out at around midnight in the Paujan Bazar area under Sahadebpur Union. According to locals, the fire originated from an electrical short circuit at two poultry feed shops owned by Sajal Chandra Saha and Goutam Kumar Deb. It quickly spread to adjacent establishments.

The affected shops included the poultry feed outlets of Sajal Chandra Saha and Goutam Kumar Deb, Babu's television repair shop, Abdul Kader's footwear store, Rajib Kumar's salon, Sohel Rana's poultry feed shop, and Sadhan Chandra Saha's grocery and general m...
