Bangladesh, July 15 -- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized five ownerless Indian cattle during an anti-smuggling operation in the Teesta River char area along the border in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari.
The cattle were recovered from inside Bangladeshi territory near the Teesta River char in the Jharsingheshwar area during the early hours of Tuesday.
Brigadier General A.S.M. Naser, Commander of the BGB North-West Rangpur Region, confirmed the incident.
According to BGB sources, a patrol team from Kaliganj Border Outpost (BOP) conducted the operation as part of regular and special anti-smuggling patrols in the border area.
