Bangladesh, Oct. 16 -- Three members of an online fraud syndicate were arrested in Khulna for swindling an expatriate, Robin Sheikh, out of Tk 88,890 by offering the victim a lucrative job opportunity online.

The arrests were made during a special drive in the Baintala area under Batiaghata Police Station in Khulna district by a cybercrime team of the 3rd Armed Police Battalion (APBn) on Tuesday.

The arrestees were Chhabir Hossain, Swadhin Kumar Ghatak and Shakib Sheikh. All three are residents of Lonapara village under Batiaghata Police Station.
