Dhaka, Dec. 28 -- 30 out of 214 members of the central committee of National Citizens Party (NCP) have expressed objection to the possibility of the forming a political alliance or seat deal with an 8-party alliance including Jamaat-e-Islami.

They have submitted a memorandum to party convener Nahid Islam mentioning: "Regarding principled objections to the possible alliance in light of the party's values and responsibility for the July Uprising'.

Mushfiqur Us Salehin, who signed the memorandum as member number 1, confirmed the matter to the media at around 8 pm on Saturday. He is the party's media editor and joint member secretary.
