Bangladesh, Oct. 6 -- Three alleged drug traffickers have been arrested with 100 kilograms of cannabis during an anti-drug operation conducted by the Special Response Battalion (SRB)-14, CPC-3, in Sakhipur, Tangail.

A covered van allegedly used to transport the drugs, a motorcycle used as an escort vehicle, cash and three mobile phones were also seized during the operation.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Ashraful Alam, 39, of Mymensingh; Md Raju Islam, 30, of Cumilla; and Helal Mia, 42, of Sakhipur upazila in Tangail.

The information was disclosed in a press release issued on Sunday by the Senior Assistant Director and Media Officer of SRB-14 on behalf of its commander.
