Bangladesh, Oct. 6 -- A two-day training programme for police personnel has begun in Khulna to enhance their preparedness for maintaining law and order and performing election-related duties during the upcoming local government elections.

AKM Mosharraf Hossain Miazi, DIG and Commandant of Police Training Centre (PTC), Khulna, inaugurated the training course for the seventh batch at the centre on Monday.

The training focuses on developing the skills required to prevent any form of disorder during the elections and maintain law and order in different situations.

Police personnel are also being instructed to discharge their duties with honesty, impartiality and the highest level of professionalism.
