Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Ameer Shafiqur Rahman has said Jamaat is not in favor of dividing the nation based on religion.The Jamaat leader said, "According to the latest census, 90.8 percent of the people in the country are Muslims. The rest are Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians. But we are not in favor of dividing the nation based on religion. We want to see a united nation."He said this on Saturday while addressing as the chief guest at a "Daee and Waez Conference" organized by the party's central Ulama Committee at Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital's Moghbazar.
