Dhaka, Oct. 23 -- The new ship 'MB Banglar Pragati' is being added to the fleet with the state-owned Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC)'s own funding. The 199-meter-long, 33-meter-wide, 18-meter-deep ship is capable of transporting 65,000 tons of goods. The ship's main engine is MAN-B&W (built under German license, assembled in China). The pump is from Spain and the compressor is from Norway.

The ship has already undergone a trial run in China. Soon, the ship will load goods and fly the red-green flag from port to port around the world.
