Srinagar, Sept. 22 -- Srinagar- Senior judicial officer Yash Paul Bourney was sworn in as a Judge of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh at a ceremony held at the Chief Justice's Court in the Srinagar wing of the High Court on Tuesday.

Chief Justice Dr Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati administered the oath of office to Justice Bourney.

The warrant of appointment was read out by High Court Registrar General M K Sharma, who also conducted the proceedings.

Several judges of the High Court, senior judicial officers, law officers and members of the legal fraternity attended the ceremony. Judges serving at the Jammu wing joined the proceedings virtually.

Justice Bourney's family members, relatives and friends were also present.
